Preparing the next generation of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellows

 ©euraxess.hr

On June 24th the Field of Excellence „Dimensions of Europeanization“ organized an online MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Training “Meet the Mentor” Session.

The online event offered the possibility to present and discuss each research project of the candidates for the upcoming MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship application. Next to mentors and supporting staff recent fellows and fellows from previous MSCA fellowships were invited to participate by sharing their experience and expertise. Thus ensuring well prepared submissions for this year's MSCA Call. The discussion offered insight into the challenges for hopefully successful applications.

The following presentations were held:

  • Katarina Ristic - "Yugoslaw Wars in Digital Age: Between Cosmopolitan and Fascist Memory of War" (mentor Florian Bieber)
  • Francesco Reinerio - “Free as in "folk music": A new anthological Balkan musicology” (mentor Renate Hansen-Kokorus)
  • Tena Prelec - “Balkan Kleptocracy: Mapping the Linkages Between Home-Grown State Capture and Global Enablers in South East Europe” (mentor Florian Bieber)
  • Marija Grujic - “Gender Order of Asylum - Reception and temporary emplacement in the post-2014 Europe” (mentor Libora Oates-Indruchová)
  • Vincenzo Tudisco - "Polices Forces and Discriminatory Attidudes in Europe: What Role for Equality Bodies?“ (mentor Emma Lantschner)
  • Johann Wolfschwenger - “The ‘Politics of Expertise’ in the Process of Europeanization in the Republic of Moldova” (mentor Florian Bieber)

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. Fellowships will be provided to excellent researchers, undertaking international mobility. The call is open until October, 12th. For further information see MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2021 and MSCA Initiative at the University of Graz.
