Internationally acknowledged: Ulla Kriebernegg board member of US research Society

The Gerontological Society of America has appointed the Americanist and ageing researcher as the only non-American member of the Board of Directors. The term of office begins in January 2025.

Ulla Kriebernegg, Head of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Ageing and Care Research at the University of Graz and Chair of the Age and Care Research Group Graz, is a university professor for cultural ageing and care studies. As a long-standing chairwoman of the European Network in Aging Studies and through research and teaching stays in several American countries, she is internationally known and recognised. The Gerontological Society of America - the oldest and largest interdisciplinary organisation for research, education and practice in the field of ageing - recognised her scientific work by electing her to the board of directors. More than 5,500 members were eligible to vote.
