Dr. habil. Halyna Ilina

Dr. habil. Halyna Ilina is an Associate Professor at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2007 she was a holder of the Grant of the President of Ukraine for Gifted Youth. In 2010 she obtained her PhD in Philosophy with the thesis Self-Identity in Human Life. From 2009 to 2011 she was a Senior Researcher working at the National Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Studies and World History of the Ministry of Science and Education of Ukraine, where she was involved in research projects in the field of Ukrainian Studies specializing in Ukrainian identity. In 2019 she obtained her Habilitation degree from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a thesis entitled Visual Thinking in the History of Philosophy. Since 2018 she is an Associate Professor in the Department of the History of Philosophy at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, where she participates in Ukrainian translation of classical philosophical texts and teaches such courses as Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy, Modern Philosophy, Ukrainian Studies, Historical and Philosophical Cases of Visual Theories, among others. She is an author of the monograph Genesis of the Culture of Thinking: Logos, Ratio, Visio (2018). She has authored and co-authored over 100 publications, including five book chapters, textbooks, teaching materials and articles published in Ukrainian and international journals.
