Possible topics for presentations of 15-min length may include but are not limited to:
- The heritage of exile, displacement and migration
- Linguistic, literary and artistic transfers throughout history
- Dark Heritage or the heritage of war, violence and atrocities
- The heritage of music, from folk music to pop and other genres
- Digital heritage and social media
- The role of archives and museums in the preservation of heritage narratives
- Performing heritage in religious ritual, dance and folk customs
- Touristic heritage and travelogues
- The role of gender, sexuality and the family in heritage dynamics
- (post)imperial discourses, orientalism, Balkanism and the projected liminality of the Southeastern sphere
Abstracts of max. 250 words in either length, in either English or German, should be emailed to the organizers, Yvonne Živković (yvonne.zivkovic(at)uni-graz.at) and Renate Hansen-Kokoruš (renate.hansen-kokorus(at)uni-graz.at) by April 30.
A limited amount of travel grants is available to participants who do not receive any travel funds from their home institution.
